About Solent Fetish Meets
Solent Fetish Meets began in June 2026 as two small community groups: Solent Leather Men and Solent Rubber Men. Those first meets were simple, friendly nights where people into leather and rubber could turn up in their gear, share a drink and finally feel like they weren’t the only ones in the Solent area. They were about conversation, connection and giving people a reason to step out in the clothes and styles that make them feel most themselves.
As word spread, it became clear that the local scene was much broader than just leather and rubber. People into scally, skinhead, pup and other fetish styles started to appear, all looking for the same thing – a place where they could be themselves without having to hide who they are or what they like. The community was bigger and more varied than two separate groups could hold, and it made sense to bring everyone together.
In July 2026, the groups came together under one inclusive name: Solent Fetish Meets. The new name brought everyone under a single banner and made one thing clear: this is a meet for the whole local fetish community, not just one look or label. Whether you are into leather, rubber, scally, skinhead, pup or something else entirely, you have a place here. The focus is on bringing people together rather than splitting the community into smaller, separate groups.
Our Founder – Mister Grey
Solent Fetish Meets was founded by Mister Grey, a member of the local kink scene who saw a gap in the Solent and Hampshire area. There were clubs and events, but there was not a relaxed, low‑pressure space where fetish folks could simply meet, talk and build connections first. He wanted somewhere people could walk into without feeling they had to perform, play or prove anything.
He started the meets to create a safe, social space for fetish folks in the Solent area. It is a space where you can show up in the gear that feels right for you, meet people who share your interests, ask questions and learn without feeling silly, and take things at your own pace with no pressure to play. From the start, Mister Grey has put community, consent and respect at the centre of everything. His aim is that anyone walking through the door, whether they are experienced or brand new, feels seen, supported and welcome.
What Our Meets Are Like
Right now, Solent Fetish Meets is a social‑only event. There is no pressure to play. The focus is on talking, laughing and getting to know people. The meets are a chance to get comfortable in your gear, get a feel for the local scene and build trust and friendships before anything more intense. You might see leather, rubber, sports kit, scally looks, skinhead styles, pup hoods and more, but you will also see people in more casual clothes who are just feeling things out. Turning up as you are is always okay.
We currently meet in Southsea, Portsmouth, and as the community grows we are looking to bring events to Southampton and the wider Hampshire area. Wherever we are, we want the vibe to stay the same: welcoming, down‑to‑earth and community‑focused. The aim is that you can walk into a Solent Fetish Meets night in any of these places and recognise the same friendly, relaxed atmosphere.
Looking Ahead
Solent Fetish Meets is built to grow with the people who attend. Our long‑term hope is to progress to play parties once the community feels ready, the right venues are in place and strong safety and welfare structures are set up. Any future play events will be built on the same foundations as our social meets: clear consent, respect for limits and a focus on everyone feeling safe and supported. We want people to feel involved in shaping what comes next, rather than having it decided for them.
